BARCELONA, Spain – February 14, 2011 — NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQGM: NTGR), a global networking company that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers, today announced its next-generation Mobile Smart Repeaters line, the MSRB2500 series. The MSRB2500 Mobile Smart Repeater is easily installed and boosts the mobile signal in the home or business within seconds. The latest improvements to the series include multi-carrier HSPA+ support, simultaneous voice and data boosting, greater internal antennasensitivity and power output, optional external antenna and enhanced device management.

Based on a technology partnership with Nextivity, NETGEAR launched the first generation of the Mobile Smart Repeaters, the MSRB2100 series, in 2010. The new MSRB2500 series builds upon the success of the MSRB2100 series and delivers expanded voice and data coverage, higher data rates enabling improved handset battery life, and offers mobile network operators a network-safe tool to lower churn and improve customer satisfaction.

"The introduction of the MSRB2500 series furthers our commitment to bring unique high-performance indoor coverage solutions to mobile network operators worldwide for their business and residential customers," said Michael Clegg, vice president and general manager, Service Provider Business Unit, NETGEAR. "The MSRB2500 series' enhanced capacity to handle multiple voice and data sessions gives mobile operators and MVNOs another unique product offering to solve everyday business and residential problems."

"Over the past two years, our relationship with NETGEAR has delivered Cel-Fi technology to mobile operators worldwide," said Werner Sievers, CEO, Nextivity. "With the introduction of the NETGEAR MSRB2500 series, we're confident more mobile operators will now deliver this solution to their customers."
